QuikClot Combat Gauze is a 3-inch x 4-yard strip of z-folded, soft, white, nonwoven, hydrophilic gauze impregnated with kaolin, an inorganic material that is both safe and effective in accelerating the body's natural clotting cascade without any exothermic reactions or use of animal or human proteins. The z-folded format makes the gauze even easier to apply as it is easier to pack wounds and eliminates the risk of the roll falling away and getting contaminated.The Combat Gauze also contains an X-ray detectable strip for easy identification. It is vacuum-sealed in an easy-to-tear package and has a 5 year expiration.
